The first wedding I ever did was a gift to a friend of mine nearly 10 years ago. I just purchased a new 3-CCD camera for SilverHook Studios and had a great time that summer filming music videos. When I received his wedding invitation in the mail, I instantly knew that I wanted to film and edit his wedding as a gift to him and his bride. Taking a professional approach to it, I filmed the wedding just as I would for an event a paying client was having. Although I didn’t get a chance to enjoy myself as a guest from being behind the camera, the experience sparked a love of filming weddings that has lasted the past ten years. |

When they received the video, they were absolutely floored with the quality. At the time, the equipment and software I used to do their wedding was top of the line and brand new, so they were honored to have been the ones to “break it in”. And even though I purchased the equipment for the growing video production of SilverHook Studios, I had no idea that ultimately, we’d become known for our cinematic wedding videography. |

Not even considering wedding videography as an option, it was back to business as usual at SilverHook Studios after the wedding, until the bride’s sister called and wanted me to do her video as well, and she had a friend that needed a video done. I gladly obliged and got off the phone knowing that wedding videography was now becoming a priority. And to respect the craft, I needed to get some additionally training and find out what couple’s like in a videographer. |

I took about 6 months of wedding videography training, and attended numerous bridal events and really developed an understanding of what makes a great wedding video. Coupling all of that knowledge with a touch of the SilverHook Studios editing style, and soon after my schedule started filling up. My joy of capturing weddings was sparked from these 3 couple's and hasn’t stopped since. |

The cinematic style of a SilverHook Studios Wedding Video came from my love of film. I believe in the value of telling the story, especially my clients, and although a wedding can be considered more reality TV than a movie, it doesn’t mean it has to be documented on video to be played back exactly how it happened. Your special day is something you’ll treasure forever, and the approach I take to filming and editing it is one of the same as Hollywood producers. When you’re watching your video for the 3rd and 4th time, we don’t want it to seem old. We want the experience to feel new and memorable everytime you watch it. You are the star of the day. A SilverHook Studios Wedding Video makes sure you are seen, heard and feel important. Each video is a custom creation cinematically edited, and the layout for the menus and graphics are designed based on your wedding theme. And since we never book more than one wedding in a day, our attention can be focused on all of the details of your wedding. It’s important to us to give each wedding video it’s own individuality. |
